Wiley Heights Covenant Church - Bringing Good News

Quilting B

Quilters

Ladies in the church meet the 1st and 4th Wednesday of every month from 10:00am to 3:00pm for quilting and fellowship. Members enjoy learning more about quilts, sharing designs and good fellowship.

In November each year the Quilting B holds a Quilt Sunday to display the quilts they have made throughout the year, and sell selected quilts to the congregation to help purchase quilting supplies. Remaining quilts are distributed to the Red Cross and Center for Battered Women at the YWCA, other deserving charities and for local community needs.

Led by Carolyn Van de Graaf, the committee made 197 quilts this year. The Quilting Bee has been meeting at Wiley Heights for more than 11 years and don't plan on stopping any time soon.

Quilt Sunday

Quilt Sunday

One Sunday each November, the Quilting B displays the quilts they have made throughout the last year by draping them over the pews for Sunday morning worship. The quilts are sold to members of the congregation and any that are not sold are donated to local charitable causes. Funds raised are used to purchase supplies for the Quilting B.
